William McDonough

Bill is a first-chair litigator, trial attorney, and trusted advisor with more than twenty-five years of experience in a wide variety of complex areas and industries, including life sciences, healthcare, insurance and insurance recovery, product liability, construction, mass tort, financial services, fraud, consumer protection, unfair trade practices, real estate, contract disputes, aviation, trade secrets, plaintiffs’ personal injury, and business torts. Bill has represented companies and individuals locally and throughout the country in multidistrict litigations, class actions, consolidated state court proceedings, and single-party cases.

Bill has broad state and federal court experience. He is barred in Pennsylvania and has acted as lead counsel for clients locally and throughout the United States, appearing pro hac vice as trial counsel in Alabama, Arizona, California, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Texas. Bill has handled all aspects of litigation from the filing of the complaint (or pre-complaint discovery) through appellate argument and everything in between, including developing case strategy, taking fact and expert depositions, preparing and arguing dispositive and Daubert motions, and attending settlement conferences. Bill has first-chair experience in trials and arbitrations, he has attended mediations, and negotiated many settlements on behalf of clients. He also has an active pro bono practice, working mostly on veterans’ issues and cases involving indigent individuals.

Prior to joining FEKM, Bill was an associate and partner at an Am Law 50 firm.
